The Healesville Chamber of Commerce launched a new Buy Local campaign this week called “shopping secrets”.

Joanne Tate, Chairperson of the Healesville Chamber of Commerce and the dedicated committee, secured funding from the Shire of Yarra Ranges to devise and implement this promotion to help businesses and encourage locals to buy local.

Every Thursday, commencing this week, and until the end of winter, participating traders offer a “Secret” discount or item heavily reduced item.

The campaign will be supported with in store posters, counter stands and an entry box, whereby shoppers can drop off their entry form (but only on Thursdays), for their chance to win a monthly gift hamper.

The street will be alive with purple “?” balloons displayed outside the front of participating businesses. At least twenty businesses have signed up in the first week and vary from coffee stores, butcher, winery tour company, jeweler, boutique stores, opportunity shops, travel shop, and many more. So make sure you look out for the posters and find out what they are offering.

The offers will vary from store to store and on most occasions – week to week.

Shopping Secrets - Terms and Conditions
The promoter is the Healesville Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 160, Healesville Vic 3777. Entry is open to all residents of Australia. Employees and their families of any business within the Healesville shopping precinct is ineligible to enter. Competition commences 17th June and concludes 26th August, 2010. Draws held on 25/6/10, 29/7/10 and 26/8/10 at Yarra Valley Winery Tours, 299 Maroondah Highway, Healesville Vic 3777. The first entry drawn for each draw held, will win a $150 hamper. Hampers are non-transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. If a person under the age of 18 years is the winner of the monthly shopping voucher, the prize will be awarded to their parent or guardian, at the promoter’s discretion. Entries will only be accepted on a Thursday during the Shopping Secrets promotion. The personal information supplied to the Healesville Chamber of Commerce will used to promote local Healesville Chamber promotions.
